half-title. Bound in red-dyed calf, covers and spine tooled in gilt and
blind, black label, dentelles, marbled endpapers. 3.75" x 2". Very Good
condition.

Provenance:  Christmas gift inscription, R. Gilmor to Elizabeth A.
Sherlock, 1826.  Later notation in pencil: G. Shirley Carter, Morven,
Virginia.  (Morven, the Carter family estate, is now owned and by the Univ
of Virginia Foundation.)         $125.00
