McCall, James E.  SANTO TOMAS INTERNMENT CAMP: STIC in Verse and Reverse,
STIC-toons and STIC-tistics.  Lincoln, Nebraska: Woodruff Printing Co.,
(1945).  First Edition.  pp: (xiv), 146; 64 plates of cartoons by the
author.  Bound in pictorial, brown stiff wrappers.  Very Good condition.

Presentation copy, signed by McCall on the front endpaper. The author spent
three years as a civilian prisoner in the internment camp which Japanese
forces established at the Royal University of Santo Tomas in Manila.  This
book includes his verse and cartoons composed at the Camp, along with a
census of the Camp by sex and age group, labor codes for women and men,
reports on food and rations and resultant weight loss, jail sentences,
commandants, articles traded to "Jap guards" in exchange for sugar and
tobacco, shanty town, camp hospital, &c.   $125.00
