Laurence A30a: 1240 copies published simultaneously with the American 
edition. Illustrated with a frontispiece photogravure of Shaw by 
Frederick Evans. The first volume of Unpleasant Plays contains: Preface, 
Widowers' Houses, The Philanderer, and Mrs. Warren's Profession. The 
second volume of Pleasant Plays contains: Preface, Arms and the Man, 
Candida, The Man of Destiny, and You Never Can Tell. Small owner name of 
John K. Boddy on the front endpaper of each volume. Small nick to spine 
with loss of cloth to the first volume. Spines darkened but readable.
