Bolivar, Simon. A half-page document, signed, granting General Carlos Soublette (here writen "Soublet") permission to pass freely (i.e., an entry visa) and with the provision of a mule for transportation, dated Oct. 23, 1818. With Bolivar's bold autograph signature. Full sheet (10" x 7-1/2") folded, with the inscription on one half of one side of the sheet.    $2,500.00 (trade discount allowed)
Here are two of the great names of Latin America's fight for independence from Spain. Soublette was a Venezuelan hero who fought alongside Bolivar and who later in his life served two terms as President of Venezuela.
