The Book Elves love a good New Year’s Eve bash, and surprisingly
(shockingly) everything went well this year. The dancers and levitating
tigers all performed without a hitch, nobody called the fire department
when the bonfire flames soared above treetop level, the fireworks went
off when (and where) they were supposed to- and nobody from Homeland
Security or the FBI showed up to investigate the debris field
afterwards. It was, in short, a completely successful party, a feat
which is unpresidented in Book Elf history. Even the singer stayed away
from the Book Elves ‘funny brownies’ long enough to perform a flawless
set. Her equipment even all worked, which was really surprising, since
the Book Elves bought it dirt-cheap off the back of a truck in New York
last week (it was much-used and all stenciled “Property of M. Carey”).

But before they pulled off a great party without any harm to anyone, the
Book Elves finished our latest catalog-

“The Orient”

which may be viewed or downloaded as a .pdf file here ->
