Vol. 1 (10-1/4" tall) contains descriptive material and 164 page facsimile of "Poems written by Mr. Robert Burns and selected by him from his unprinted collection for Robert Riddell of Glenriddell, Esq." Vol. 2 (11-1/8" tall) contains descriptive material and a 103 page facsimile of, "Letter by Mr. Burns, which he selected for R. Riddell, Esq., of Glenriddell." Illustrated with 2 portraits of Robert Burns and the Glenriddell coat-of-arms. Both volumes uniformly bound in full pigskin with brown morocco spine labels. Spine of Vol. 2 with chips at head & foot. Vol. 1 has been nicely rebacked in calf with the original spine labels laid back down. Front free endpaper of both volumes with a gift inscription from the publisher, John Gribbel and owner of the original manuscripts, to the Burns Club of St. Louis, dated 1915.    $350.00 (trade discount allowed)
