Rubricated throughout, with capital spaces filled in with attractive red letters, some with flourishes. 19th century vellum over yellow boards. Most blank fore-margins with repairs, mostly minor. An untrimmed large copy 288 x 205 mm. With the rubber stamp of the Charterhouse of Buxheim Library on the blank bottom margin of the first leaf.    $10,000.00 (trade discount allowed)
A very nice example of the work of Conrad Fyner, the first and only printer in Esslingen in the Fifteenth Century, whose earliest work is circa 1472-1473. Gerson's text, a treatise on the moral rules for priests, more specifically the nature and office of confession, was first printed about 1467. ISTC lists 17 editions before 1501.
