A Very Good copy of the first edition, first printing (lower spine bumped, very small split where the lower front board meets the hinge, some dust jacket offsetting to the free endpapers), in a Near Fine dust jacket (some toning to the verso and to the flap extremities, tiny repaired tear to the front panel near the spine head), being copy 182 of 500 copies issued for sale. (An additional 30 copies were reserved for presentation.) Pages 5 through 32 are uncut at the top edge. A Very Good copy in a Near Fine dust jacket, SIGNED BY D. H. LAWRENCE on the Limitation Page and rather uncommon to the market.
