Hardcover 4to (28 cm) in cream boards with titles stamped in brown; [72] pp. (unpaginated). Photographs by Arthur Koester; introduction by by Amedee Ozenfant. Text in German, English and French. Chipping to the spine with loss to most of the back strip, but binding is secure; stains and browning to the boards; leaves mildly toned as usual, else very good: clean and fresh. Early owner's signature to front free-endpaper.

A handsomely illustrated exploration of Mendelsohn House, the architect's own home at Rupenhorn, Berlin, with plans, elevations, and depictions of its exterior, interior, furniture and furnishings. An uncommon and important book on 20th-century architecture and the avant-garde, published the year before Mendelsohn fled Nazi Germany.
