Text illustrated with numerous woodcut diagrams, including the celebrated woodcut world map (3-1/8" x 3-1/8") on p. 154 (actually p. 144), in fine condition.  Orig. blind tooled calf, both covers with a large central ornament. Spine worn, with an old repair, and some chipping. Title and approx. first 35 leaves with old water stains and light browning at top and outer margins. Some light soiling in other sections of text, but generally clean after the preliminaries.                  $650.00 (trade discount allowed)
