[George, Prince of Wales, later King George IV] An Account of the Visit of His Royal Highness the Prince Regent and Their Imperial and Royal Majesties the Emperor of Russia and the King of Prussia to the University of Oxford in June MDCCCXIV [1814]. Oxford: At the Clarendon Press, MDCCCXV [1815]. First edition; 4to (28 cm) in modern full burgundy morocco, decorated in blind, modern marbled endpapers; [2] + 77 pp.; with three plates, one of which is folding.

An account of the famous visit to Oxford by the three allied heads of state, part of the celebrations following the first abdication of Napoleon in 1814. Rather scarce; the account of a similar royal visit to the Corporation of London is more commonly found. Binding with light rubbing and wear, a small hole to the rear joint; contents toned with some browning to the edges, offsetting from the plates, occasional light spotting and touches of soiling, early owner's signature, else clean and sound, firmly bound. "The folded plate presents excerpts from the Bible printed in various Roman and non-Roman fonts, and may be regarded as a type-specimen sheet of the Oxford University Press" (OCLC).
