LIMITED EDITION of 135 copies, this is number 6; it contains 2 original
broadsides announcing one of Santa Anna's Presidential decrees, instead
of the single broadside called for on the colophon. Antonio López de
Santa Anna was a Mexican general and the dominant political figure of
nineteenth-century Mexico. He participated in the Texas Revolution and
the Mexican-American War and was president of Mexico for 22 years.
Despite being a poor president and losing much of Mexico's territory to
the United States, he was beloved by the people of Mexico.
