Trapp, No. I, Paternoster-Row, MDCCLXXVIII [1778]. Tall 12mo (17 cm) in early/period marbled boards, rebacked with later calf, gilt-lettered morocco spine label; [4], 154, [8] pp.; with the frontispiece and 47 engraved plates. ESTC N36276.

Boards with rubbing, wear to the edges. Contents with toning, offsetting from the plates, occasional spotting and browning; tear to the frontispiece at the bottom of the gutter; early owner’s extensive ms. bibliographical notes to the front paste-down and endpaper, else quite clean and sound. Bound without the half-title page (if called for), but with the frontispiece that is often found missing.
