Connecticut, Stonington / Miner, Frank Denison.  THE DIARY OF MANASSEH
MINOR, STONINGTON, CONN., 1696-1720. Published by Frank Denison Miner, with
the assistance of Miss Hannah Miner, 1915.  First Edition.  196pp with
index; frontispiece and 12 plates, two folding.  Bound in gold cloth, gilt
lettering on spine, coat-of-arms on cover in red, silver and gilt.  Old
bookplate of Long Island Historical Society on pastedown, small embossed
stamp and "withdrawn" stamp on title-page.  Tipped at gutter of title-page
is a 4-line, handwritten note by the author re the printing of this book.
8.5" x 6.75".

Accompanying the bound book are ten (10) related items. (1) A folio,
sepiatone, printedcopy of the "Deed from Cary Latham of New London to
Thomas Minor of the Homestead Farm, Stonington..." with a five-line
description handwritten by Frank Miner. (2) A printed copy of a 1784
receipt, signed by Hanaford Minor, with an attached, 24-line description
handwritten and initialed by Frank Miner. (3) A printed copy of a 1776
deed, signed by Amos Minor. (4) A three-page, printed description of four
letters written by Amos Minor in 1776, described by Frank and Hannah Minor,
dated 1925. (5) Printed photographs of the graves of Thomas and Manasseh
Minor, both at Wequetequock Cemetery. (6-10) Five other facsimile documents
relating to the Minor family, some annotated in ink by author Frank Minor.
Very Good condition.
