Roosevelt, Franklin Delano.  CONGRESSIONAL INVITATION SET PLUS ORIGINAL
TICKETS TO ROOSEVELT'S FIRST INAUGURATION AS PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED
STATES, MARCH 4, 1933.  Washington DC: USGPO, 1933.

Includes the engraved invitation to the ceremonies with portraits of FDR
and John N. Garner laid in, tissue guards. Also laid in is a Congress of
the United States envelope containing a 2.5" x 4.5" printed ticket to the
inauguration, Lafayette Park, Stand 4, with photo portraits of Roosevelt
and Garner on the verso along with "1933" and a rising sun. Also in the
envelope is a ticket to the inauguration for Platform B, "outside of and on
the House Side, but Not to the Capitol Building," numbered on the verso
along with a facsimile signature of J. Mark Trice, Deputy Sergeant of Arms,
US Senate.  Also present is the Inauguration Ceremonies Program containing
26pp, printed on rectos only, in stiff cream wrappers with the Presidential
seal on the cover and tied with red-white-blue ribbon.  Unrelated to the
inauguration, this group also includes a registered-mail envelope addressed
to Honorable Leo E. George, return address of the Jackson Day Committee,
containing a ticket to the Jackson Day Dinner at the Mayflower Hotel,
graced by an engraved portrait of Andrew Jackson, along with a small card
calling for gentlemen to wear black ties and to be in their seats by 8:25
o'clock.  Very Good to Fine condition.
