Title with device of an anchor and dolphin. Orig. calf, worn, spine cracked in places, and spine extremities a bit chipped. The cords are holding the boards soundly. First printed in Paris in 1632 as ARIANE in 8vo. format. The English publishers dressed it up as a folio, first in 1636, then in 1641; these are the only 2 17th century English editions. Wing D1194.
