A fascinating view by a French traveler writing on American life circa 1910, with chapters on Universities (Smith College, Harvard, etc.), life on the West Coast with chapters on Los Angeles, San Francisco, "China Town," three chapters on the Negro condition, three chapters on the Mormons, also Yosemite and Yellowstone, American railroads and manufacturing, even American sports (football and baseball). The photos are fantastic.
