Orig. pictorial blue cloth stamped in blind & gilt. Very minor chip at foot of spine and slightly rounded corners, but still a nice, bright copy. Rubber stamp name & signature of a previous owner on a blank preliminary.    $500.00 (trade discount allowed)
Howes L300. Sabin 40723. Wheat 125n. A previous edition was published under the title, "California Illustrated..." by W. Holdredge in 1852. The 1853 edition is often found with less than 48 plates.
