1937-38 V.O.C. Power Plant in Pueblo Viejo, Venezuela Photo Album.

An interesting album, showing the construction of a power plant in
“Pueblo Viejo, Venezuela”, by the J.G. White Engineering Corp. of New
York City, whose stamp appears on the back of each photo. The V.O.C.,
Venezuelan Oil Concession, was originally a British firm but by the
1920s the majority of the company stock was owned by Royal Dutch Shell.

Album. 12”x9”, with 56 6.75”x4.5” and 41 5.5”x3.5” gelatin prints,
mounted two images per page. Each image is neatly glued to the page on
each corner, with a typewritten description, including date, on the back
of each photo, which is visible through the semi-transparent & thin
album page paper. Covers with minor wear, light soil, contents clean.
One page with only a single photo but no evidence that there was a
second photo mounted. [46780] $450
