This is the first edition of Church father St. Basil's complete works, edited by the Reformed humanist Wolfgang Musculus. The translations are by numerous scholars including Desiderius Erasmus. Of note regarding this copy are two lines below the colophon reading, "M. Jodocus Nass, Anno MDLXIIII." This appears to be a type set inked stamp of the German Catholic writer and preacher Johann Nass (active circa 1565). Adams B335.
