London: George G. Harrap & Company, All volumes First British edition, volumes appropriately dated. Bound in publisher's red cloth with beveled edges. The first three volumes have the usual spine fade; volume four is fade-free. Family crest on front cover of each volume. Top Edges Gilt.


Each has the bookplate of “Mill Hill School” {UK} on the front pastedown. Small discoloration on spines 1,2,3 from small labels (no longer present) 0.5” x 0.75.”

Contents in excellent and bright condition - it they have been read it was only very occasionally.  No repairs, writing, or markings other than the bookplates and small writing on the bookplates indicating who donated the particular volume to the school. Contents complete. Hinges and endpaper joints tight and uncracked.


Volume 1 has the slightest fading outline from a shorter book being stored alongside it.

Minor fore-edge bump on Volume 4.
