Laupp'schen Buchhandlung. 1865. 2 volumes. 8vo. text volume with the folio atlas (plate) volume. [text]: viii,443,(1)pp. Frontispiece lithograph of an operating room. [atlas]: Title page reads "Atlas zur Laryngoskopie und Laryngoskopischen Chirurgie" plus 8 lithographs (15" x 10-1/2"), 2 of which are color printed. Both volumes are original calf over marbled boards, the Atlas with a black calf gilt label pasted to the front cover. Both volumes are very good, but the covers of the Atlas volume are rather rubbed and slightly bowed in the middle.    $1,500.00 (trade discount allowed)
A very scarce set authored by Bruns (1812-1883) who is considered the founder of modern operative laryngology and a leading authority in the field of plastic and reconstructive surgery. He authored 10 surgical works between 1854 and 1879.
