1950s New York Ad Man Archive of Advertising Mock-Ups & WWII Photos.

A small but odd archive of material from two aspects of the life of
Murray Stein, a Lexington Avenue ad man during the Mad Men era. The
first aspect is a series of b/w photos of Murray apparently about to be
Bar Mitzvah’d (inscribed to his aunt), and 6 photos of him in uniform,
in various poses, after he joined the Army. The second aspect is a
series of 5 advertising mock-ups from the 1950s-60s for magazine ads for
Volkswagen, travel to Bali & Puerto Rico, salami, and lace. An odd set,
but not displeasing.

Photos range from 4”x6” to 8”x10”, some wear. 4 advertisements 8.5”x11”,
and one is a single-column size, 2.5”x10.5”. Minor wear and soil.
[44847] $75
