Plutarch. [MORALIA. ITALIAN. SELECTIONS] ALCUNI OPUSCULETTI DE LE COSE MORALI... in Questa Nostra Lingua Nuovamente Tradotti. Venice: (Tramezzino). 1543. Sm. 8vo. ff.176. Large woodcut "Sibilla" device of Tramezzino on tite and verso of final leaf. Orig. vellum, front cover defective with about 20% of the vellum gone (gnawed by rats?), exposing the board underneath. The volume is otherwise very sound. Final 15 leaves with an old water stain along lower portion.    $675.00 (trade discount allowed)
An uncommon book, attractively printed in an italic font, the capital letters left blank in the tradition of the 15th century.
