First Edition. First Combined Edition with a new introduction by John 
Galsworthy. Neat owner name dated 1924 on front endpaper. Some 
offsetting to endpapers from dustwrapper which is soiled at the rear 
with chips to the spine head extending slightly to the front cover and 
to the top corners. Near Fine in Very Good dustwrapper. (#002351)

CONRAD, Joseph & HUEFFER [FORD], Ford Madox. THE NATURE OF A CRIME. 
London: Duckworth & Co, (1924). First British Edition. Written in 1906 
but not published until Conrad was near death. Published the same year 
as the American edition, though slightly later. Laid in is a card from 
the publisher announcing the upcoming publication of Hueffer's 
remembrance of Conrad. Some fading to the pink cloth and offsetting to 
the endpapers from the dustwrapper. Near Fine in a Near Fine dustwrapper
