Greetings to All.
Subject to the terms set forth below, today and tomorrow we offer the
below-described works at a substantial discount:
Dreiser, Theodore
An American Tragedy

New York: Boni and Liveright, 1925. First Edition, First Printing. Hardcover.
A Very Good + copy of the first trade edition, first printing in the
Publisher's original blue cloth with some rubbing to the board corners, a
prior owner's bookplate to the front pastedown of each volume and without
the uncommon dust jackets and slipcase (published prior to the publication
of the Limited Edition); Theodore Dreiser's most famous novel and his first
of his books to achieve commercial success. The novel was based on a 1906
criminal case and provided the basis for a number of movie scripts, some of
which were made into films -- both for the small screen and for the big
one, the most notable of which was the 1951 Paramount Pictures film "A
Place in the Sun" starring Montgomery Clift, Elizabeth Taylor, and Shelley
Winters. In 2005, Time Magazine included the novel on its list of the top
100 novels written in English since 1923. A Very Good + copy of this
highly-notable novel. Very good +. Item #1042
PRICE: $45.
