Horace Walpole: Memoirs of the Reign of King George the Third. First published by Sir Denis le Marchant Bart. and now re-edited by G. F. Russell Barker. With sixteen portraits. London/New York: Lawrence and Bullen/G. P. Putnam's Sons, 1894. Four volumes, 8vo (22.5 cm), in three-quarter red morocco over marbled boards with matching endpapers, top page edges gilt.

One of a limited edition of 260 copies printed for America. Additionally, an early ms. note on the limitation page states: "This copy is one of twenty-five copies with India proofs of the portraits. Printed for America. No. 25." Bindings with sunning/darkening to the spines and edges, bumping to a few corners, light rubbing; contents toned throughout with some browning to the edges, one plate torn at the margin, else clean and sound, firmly bound. Much of the text is unopened (meaning the page-gatherings are still joined at the fore-edges as issued), hence unread.
