House, (1947). First Edition. Stafford's scarce first book, not poetry 
but a collection of fictional accounts based on his own experience in 
Civilian Public Service camps for religious objectors during the Second 
World War. This copy INSCRIBED and SIGNED on the verso of the front 
endpaper: "To Doris,/from/the author!/Bill Stafford." A fairly scarce 
book, moreso when signed. Some fading to the cloth; dustwrapper quite 
nice with very light soiling and wear. Near Fine in a Near Fine
