Illustrated with 51 (of 54) plates (mostly portraits) that are called for in the "Directions to the Binder." 19th c. tree calf, gilt decorated spines with black calf labels. A few of the hinges with hairline cracks, but all are holding nicely.          $400.00 (trade discount allowed)
With bound up journals of the 18th & 19th centuries plates are often found missing. These 10 volumes do have present the most valuable plate, a folding map of the West Indies. A photo is available on ABE.
