Greetings Quarantinos,

Those who retain sufficient eyesight to read this probably don't need it, but we are pleased to offer:
~
Miller, E[li]. P[eck]. (1828-1912).
A Treatise on the Cause of Exhausted Vitality, or, Abuses of the Sexual Function.
Boston: E. P. Woodward & Co., (1867). First edition. Original cloth. Octavo. 131 pages, [5] ads. Bound in green cloth over bevelled boards, dark brown endpapers. Spine and upper board stamped with gilt-ornamented titles. Slight rubs to board extremities. Ex-library, with minor evidence being three stamps to front matter and a checkout slip and pocket on rear blank.

A rather frank--and dire[!]--discussion of masturbation and its heinous effects in both men and women. In his Preface, Dr. Miller decries the lack of open discussion about sexuality in his day: "Children inherit strong sexual desires of which they do not know the meaning; and, receiving no instruction with regard to these desires, they either fall spontaneously into evil practices, or learn from impure associates habits which eventually prove their ruin."

Scarce book. Bears the prior ownership stamp of H. W. Frost on front free endpaper, with Hubert W. Frost / Binghamton, NY pencilled below.

Price: $300
