Cont. calf, rather worn at extremities of covers, calf chipped away at very top and bottom of spine, and the corner of one of the covers. Title somewhat soiled. Hinges are sound. Text with occasional contemporary annotations. Early signature of one Joannes Morellis. A good copy only but sound & complete.    $1,000.00 (trade discount allowed)
An influential medical handbook divided into 18 chapters, that went through numerous editions under various titles. Guainerio's (d. 1440) text was first printed in 1481 as OPERA MEDICA.
