A pair of early books on pheasant farming, offered as a lot for $60.

“Pheasant Farming”

By ‘Gene M. Simpson.
Published by the Oregon Fish and Game Commission in 1914.

Eugene Simpson and his wife were pioneers in the field of farming 
pheasants, and his first booklet on the subject was published around 
1906, with a second edition in 1908, and then this version, which was 
written and published after he became a game bird specialist for the 
newly-formed Oregon Fish and Game Commission.

Softcover. 6.5”x9.5”, 50 pages, black & white illustrations. The covers 
have some light wear and some soil. The book itself has some minor wear, 
an "Oregon Bird & Pheasant Farm" stamp on the title page, and some 
period ink-written notes about raising pheasants on a rear blank page.

illustrations. The covers have some wear and some soil. The book itself 
has some minor wear, and some age discoloration on the first and last 
several pages.

Books may be reserved pending payment; Institutions may be billed; 
Standard courtesies to institutions and the trade; Postage charges are 
$5.00 for the first book, and $2.00 for each additional book. Shipments 
outside the U.S. will be billed at cost. We accept returns if we are 
notified within ten days of your receipt of the books-please ask for 
full instructions and terms. Massachusetts residents must add 6.25% 
state sales tax.
