First edition. 12 mo. 2 parts in 1. iv,166;(2),14,(2)pp. plus an 8-page added pamphlet at back, "Rules &c. of The Finishers' Friendly Association..." London: Printed for the Association. 1845. Orig. half morocco over marbled boards, extremities lightly rubbed, but a very good attractive copy.                      $1,500.00 (trade discount allowed)
The complete run of this very rare periodical, numbers 1-20, with the second part, a supplement (2),14,(2)pp. titled, "Illustrations of the Styles of Finishing by the Finishers' Friendly Association." This supplement is illustrated with numerous woodcuts of tooling styles. Additionally, this copy has the rare 8-page rules of the Association bound in at back.   The last copy to sell at auction (2019) brought 1,620 British Pounds without the added pamphlet. Even as far back as 1991 a dealer was offering this book at $1,500, bound in "later cloth."  No other copy for sale currently on-line.
