(BOOKS ABOUT BOOKS) Bruno, Guido. ADVENTURES IN AMERICAN BOOKSHOPS, ANTIQUE STORES AND AUCTION ROOMS. Detroit: The Douglas Bookshop. 1922. 12mo. 125,(3)pp. The whole edition was 1,000 copies, ours being 1 of 25 numbered (#11) special copies bound in half morocco over marbled boards, and signed (or inscribed) by the author; this copy with a long inscription by Bruno, "For Elisabeth B. Stansfield in sincere appreciation of her rare admiration of art and literature from her friend, The Author. Springfield, Ill. April 6th, 1923." A fine copy in the rare printed D.j. (fine but for a few small chips). Interestingly, the dust jacket prints the title as "Booksellers I Have Met." Rare.     $350.00 (trade discount allowed)
One of the earliest American book trade memoirs published in a limited signed edition.
