FIRST EDITION of Hans Sallander's review of the Walleriana Collection at
the Uppsala University Library. Sallander discusses the creation of the
collection and its significance. Sallander became a librarian at the
Uppsala University Library in 1946 and the first Librarian, 1955-1968.
Sallander published a list of Uppsala Library's incunable acquisitions
after 1907 and is the compiler of the important _Bibliotheca Walleriana:
the books illustrating the history of medicine and science collected by
Dr. Erik Waller and bequeathed to the Library of the Royal University of
Uppsala, a catalog_, 1955. This item is an important association copy
between book collector, Erik Waller, and his supplier, Dawson's Book
Shop in Los Angeles.
