Dear Friends:

We offer for sale the following. Photos of the great full page
abstract illustrations upon request and at our Instagram @funkebooks

[Early 1970's IBM Monograph]

IBM Österreich

[Vienna]: Demner & Partner, Design Merlicek, [prior to 1972]. 245 by
240mm (9¾ by 9½ inches). Cloth boards, staple bound; [16] pp. Printed
by Brüder Rosenbaum. Noted on the last page as “IBM Form 0 600”.

Per the text, at the time of publication IBM had 260,000 employees
worldwide. IBM had 258,000 employees in 1970 and 262,000 in 1972 -
which would place the publication date between 1970 and 1972.

Every other page full page abstract illustrations of IBM products:
mainframes, chips, typewriter, etcetera.

Very good: boards lightly warped; red stain to back cover approx. 3 by
1/2 inches; very small snag to threads on cover; light bend/crush to
top part of spine; light distortion to “center-fold” perhaps due to
moisture - overall, interior images very crisp.

Abstract and modern advertising “monograph” of IBM Austria. The
designers are now known as Demner, Merlicek & Bergmann (www.dmb.at) -
the advertising agency that was founded in 1969 is now one of
Austria’s largest.

We were not able to locate any copies in OCLC or KVK. There is a
similar 8 page 1974 book that KVK locates one time in Austria.

$225
