Stephen Jan Parker, ed.: The Vladimir Nabokov Research Newsletter (The Nabokovian). Number 1 to Number 42. Lawrence [KS]: Vladimir Nabokov Society, University of Kansas, 1978-1999. Seven volumes, 8vo (21.5 cm), in original(?) uniform faux-morocco, lettered in gilt, with the original covers bound in.

A complete run of the first forty-two issues of the Vladimir Nabokov Society's newsletter (which assumed the name The Nabokovian with number 13), bound in seven volumes. Bindings with a few corners lightly bumped, front flyleaves with the neat ink stamp "Not added by University of Michigan Library" (no other marks), one flyleaf with a gift inscription (possibly in the editor's hand); otherwise in Near Fine or better condition: unread, crisp, clean and bright, firmly bound.

Bibliographies, scholarly articles, analyses, translations, lectures, etc., on all things Nabokovian, including previously unpublished material by Nabokov himself: letters, poems, juvenilia, translations, etc. (e.g., his translation for the Library of Congress of the Gettysburg Address, along with the correspondence pertaining thereto). The Vladimir Nabokov Society was founded in December 1978, a year and a half after the author's death, and continues to this day as the International Nabokov Society. Its semi-annual publication is now called Nabokov Studies.
