For Sale: 73 issues of CIBA Review, dates ranging from 1939 to 1969. Clusters of consecutive issues, but not generally consecutive.

Issued by the Society of the Chemical Industry in Basle, Switzerland, the CIBA Review overs such topics as weaving, textiles, fabrics, dyestuffs and dyeing  period dress, 
handcraft, ornament,  etc.Single issues almost always contain interesting historical articles, ostensibly about the particular fabric or technique being featured, but more often than
not provide a solid glimpse at the cultures which grow, harvest,  process and market the products from one of the textiles. The articles are
thoroughly researched, smart, informed and relevant. Issues in this lot (see photos) include
Gloves, Hats, Neckties, Shirts, Dyeing, Indian Costumes, Batik, Crenoline, Felt, Fur, Hemp and Flax, etc., and illustrated with lots of photographs.
