[MEDICINE]. VENEREAL DISEASE POSTER Circa World War II: DISEASE IS
DISGUISED. DON'T GAMBLE WITH VD. First Edition. A 16" x 21" poster in
color, apparently produced in 1946 when the U.S. military was trying to
enforce a policy of non-fraternization in the occupation zones between
the troops and European women. It depicts a dark and ominous female
hiding behind the mask of a healthy beautiful woman. Created by a
graphic designer named Forsyth, whose name is printed in red in the
bottom right corner. Very light soiling. About Fine. (#020579)        $500
