Small 16mo (12 cm) bound in early/period full burgundy morocco decorated in gilt, marbled endpapers, all page-edges gilt; engraved title-page, plus 11 (of 12) plates and 10 (of 11) leaves of engraved text.

Binding rubbed and darkened, wear to the corners and spine ends, contents with scattered light spots and stains. One of a series of illustrated 'iconological almanacs" issued between 1765-1781. Here, the designs by Cochin depict such virtues and vices as fidelity, generosity, war, etc.
