One of an edition of 100 numbered copies, this being no. 33. [BOUND WITH:] Pierre Corneille: L'occasion perdue recouverte. Paris: Jules Gay, 1862. First edition thus. One of an edition of 520 numbered copies, this being no. 210. [BOUND WITH:] Bibliotheque facetieuse historique et singuliere. Ou reimpression de pieces curieuses, rares ou peu connues des XVe, XVIe et XVIIe siecles. Paris: A. Claudin, 1858. First edition thus. One of an edition of 112 copies.

Four works bound in one volume, all but the first being limited editions. Thick 12mo (14.5 cm) in early/period three-quarter morocco and marbled boards, marbled endpapers, all page edged gilt. Some wear to the corners and edges, spine a bit rubbed and darkened; contents with occasional light toning, otherwise clean and sound, firmly bound. Front paste-down with the elaborate armorial bookplate of Geoffrey C. Hobbes.
