London: Published for the Author, by John and Arthur Arch et al. 1823. Folio. (8),16pp. Plus a copper engraved dedication leaf and 60 illustrations on 52 mounted, finely etched plates  on India paper, complete. The mounted plates are interleaved with blanks. Cont. 1/2 green morocco, gilt (spine faded to brown), over marbled boards, corners & extremities of spine rubbed. T.e.g. Plates with occasional (mostly light) foxing. Recent gift inscription on front free endpaper.    $300.00 (trade discount allowed)
Lewis (1782-1871) accompanied Thomas Frognall Dibdin on his travels and originally drew these sketches for Dibdin's "A Biographical, Antiquarian and Picturesque Tour in France and Germany," but they were not included in its publication.
