Geneve: Manget et Cherbulez, 1811. First edition. Three volumes, 8vo (20.5 cm), in early/period calf-backed marbled boards, spines lettered in gilt, marbled endpapers; 432, 466, 487 pp.; with the half-title pages, engraved folding map.

Bindings with rubbing to the joints, wear to the spine head of vol. I; contents with very occasional faint spotting, light browning to a few leaves, else uncommonly clean and fresh, firmly bound. Front flyleaves with the ownership signature of the English historian and civil servant Rohan Butler (1917-1996), historical adviser to the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs and editor of the multi-volume Documents on British Foreign Policy 1919-1939.
