[Laurence Sterne:] Letters from Yorick to Eliza. London: Printed for T. Evans, Near York-Buildings, Strand, MDCCLXXV [1775]. Small 8vo (16 cm) in early/period half calf and marbled boards, spine decorated in gilt, with gilt-lettered morocco label; [2] + 80 pp. ESTC N10953.

According to Cross (The Life and Times of Laurence Sterne, pp.606-607), this is the "Second London edition, though not so named." In any case, an uncommon early printing of these pseudonymous letters from Sterne to his muse, Mrs. Elizabeth Draper. Binding with some rubbing and abrasion, cracking to the joints at the spine head, but both boards are secure; contents with very light toning to the title-page and last page, else very clean and fresh, firmly bound.
