uniformly bound by Bayntun in 3/4 light blue polished calf leather and 
blue cloth boards with gilt-decorated spines with red morocco 
gilt-lettered spine labels, marbled endpapers, top edges gilt. The books

CRADDOCK (1902), THE MERRY-GO-ROUND (1904), THE LAND OF THE BLESSED

A CHINESE SCREEN (1922), THE CASUARINA TREE (1926), ASHENDEN (1928), THE 
GENTLEMAN IN THE PARLOUR (1930), THE NARROW CORNER (1932), AH KING 
(1933), ALTOGETHER (1934), DON FERNANDO (1935), COSMOPOLITANS (1936), 
THEATRE (1937), THE SUMMING UP (1938), BOOKS AND YOU (1940), FRANCE AT 
WAR (1940, second printing), THE RAZOR'S EDGE (1941), STRICTLY PERSONAL 
(1942), CREATURES OF CIRCUMSTANCE (1947), CATALINA (1948), A WRITER'S 
NOTEBOOK (1949), THE VAGRANT MOOD (1952), TEN NOVELS AND THEIR AUTHORS

collection of mostly First Printings by one of the most popular writers 
of his era and reputedly the highest-paid author during the 1930s. Many 
of his works were made into films. Occasional foxing and toning to 
paper. Some rubbing along the edges of most volumes to varying degrees,
