[TROLLOPE, Frances]. THE MOTHER'S MANUAL; OR, ILLUSTRATIONS OF 
MATRIMONIAL ECONOMY. An Essay in Verse, with Twenty Plates. London: 
Treutel and Würtz, and Richter, 1833. First Edition. Quarto (6" x 
9-1/2") bound in full polished mottled calf leather by Root and Son with 
triple gilt rules and gilt floral decorative devices in each corner of 
both covers, gilt-lettered and decorated spine with five raised bands, 
gilt dentelles and marbled endpapers, top edge gilt; [vi], 82 pages. 
Illustrated with a hand-colored frontispiece, hand-colored title page 
vignette, and 18 hand-colored aquatint plates by A[ugust] Hervieu. A 
humorous account in narrative verse of a mother's problems in arranging 
suitable marriages for her daughters. Quite scarce when found with 
publisher's hand-coloring. Fine, clean impressions of the plates; light 
rubbing to hinges, labels from spine lacking. Near Fine. (#020723)
