coincide with the California Book Fair. Included are Signed and 
Illustrated Books, Western Americana, African Americana, and more.  Some 
highlights: One of the earliest cookbooks published in America, 1792; a 
firsthand account of the announcement of California statehood to the 
people of San Francisco, 1850; the earliest full first hand account of 
the Lewis and Clarke Expedition, 1807; the first American textbook on 
psychiatry, 1812; the first biography of Harriet Tubman, 1869; a 17-page 
handwritten manuscript by Booker T. Washington; and more.
