HURD, Peter. THE HORSE TRADE. Lubbock, TX: Baker Gallery Press, 1953. A 
color print (26" x 19-1/2"; image size 22-1/2" x 16") from an original 
painting signed in the image and SIGNED in pencil at the lower right by 
the artist. Peter Hurd (1904-1984) was raised in Roswell, New Mexico, 
and returned later in life to New Mexico where he drew inspiration from 
the landscape. In 1929, Hurd married Andrew Wyeth's sister, Henriette, 
also an artist. Hurd was best known for his use of egg tempera, a medium 
he introduced to Wyeth. Very minor crease at corners. Near Fine, large
