First Edition. Cloth. Copy #300 of 325 printed at the Van Vechten Press.
INSCRIBED and SIGNED as "Freddy" by one of the 9 contributors, Frederick
Buechner, on the endpaper to the poet William Meredith at Christmas
1947. A poem by another contributor, A. R. Towers, also has a brief
inscription to Meredith. Laid in is an AUTOGRAPH LETTER SIGNED from
Buechner as "Freddy" at Christmas 1949 complimenting Meredith on his
poem about the Brooklyn Bridge and discussing some personal matters,
along with an announcement to meet Buechner at a Knopf event for his
novel A LONG DAY'S DYING and a Christmas gift tag as well as a brief
AUTOGRAPH LETTER SIGNED by another contributor, Robert Zufall. Some
edgewear. Very Good, likely issued without a dustwrapper. (#018035)
