First edition, 8vo (20.5 cm), in early/period calf-backed marbled boards; folding frontispiece map of France, plus 86 hand-colored lithograph maps and views (complete).

Binding well worn and rubbed, with edge-wear and loss to the spine ends and corners; front and rear inner hinges cracked but both boards are secure; frontispiece split at the gutter with creases and a short closed tear at the bottom fold, toning to the edges of the text block, scattered light spotting to the leaves and plates, a few light touches of soiling, but generally quite clean and sound.
